My Neck is Killing me.

Audioslave was absolutely amazing last night.  2 straight hours of head banging has left me in a state of immobility but it was definitely worth it.  They blew the place away with every song.  I have to admit the Rage Against the Machine songs they played were the best.  I lost my mind during Killing In The Name of.

They also played the old Soundgarden song Rusty Cage which kicked soooo much ass….I’M GOING TO BREAK MY RUSTY CAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND RUN!!!!!!!!!!!! When I was getting over my 7 broken ribs back in February I use to play this song all the time to keep my spirits up.  Sooo Good!!!

Cornell came out and did some acoustic songs at about the mid point of the show.  He actually played Redemption Song by Bob Marley which was great.  I knew every word to the song thanks to my college roommate Justin who is a huge Bob Marley fan and played him every Sunday morning after a serious weekend of partying. I may have been the only person in the place singing along.

All of Audioslave’s songs were amazing as well.  Right on the money like you were listening to their CD…except really loud.  I have to admit I was somewhat annoyed with the Hartford crowd.  Everyone standing there like a bunch of statues staring at the stage….COMON PEOPLE.  It is not every day we get a band like this in Hartford…at least TRY and have a good time.  I think I was making a scene with my head banging but I could care less.  Seems like I have been doing that a lot lately as some of you may have noticed in Moonz’s blog.

We don't get any good bands anymore. I saw Rage in '99 when their last album came out, not counting the one of all covers. Great show. Gargantua Soul, GangStarr, At the Drive-In (with Cedric and Omar of Mars Volta fame)and of course Rage. Fucking great.

Who cares if you were making a scene? Seems like those hartford kids could use a lesson in ROCK! Too bad I couldn't be there, you wouldn't been alone in the headbanging. AUDIOSLAVE!!

Yeah Hartford people kinda suck when it comes to the metal scene.

That's the deal with big crowds lately. I saw the Pixies...holy shit...almost a year ago, and most people just stood there...there was a group of fifty or so people that just let loose for that, and the rest stared at us. Fuck everybody that stares, they have no idea what a show is about...ROCKING THE FUCK OUT!

For real! Why in the heck would you go to a rock concert to stand there? You can't LEARN how to be cool at once, you've got to go to let it all out and be yourself. God I got to go to another concert soon, it's been a good few years...
