2.0 is LIVE
After almost a year of development version 2.0 of Blogs4me.com is now in BETA. Those users who currently already have an account are free to use the new system for the next few weeks. After all bugs have been identified and fixed I will then open the site up to new sign ups.
There are many new changes to the way Blogs4me.com works. The site is now dedicated specifically to the blog and writing in the blog. Because of this the photo albums have been removed from the site. Instead when you are writing blogs you will have the ability to easily upload and add photos to specific blog entries. You will also have the ability to add a default photo to your account which will be used as your avatar all around Blogs4me.com.
One of these biggest changes to Blogs4me.com is the built in privacy system. For the 2.0 beta release all user blogs have been given a security setting that only allows their friends to comment on their blogs. By clicking on the “Privacy Settings” link you can change your settings in order to set who can view and comment on your blog.
The new Ticker on Blogs4me.com is very customizable. It gives you the ability to see only the blogs and comments from those blogs you truly want to read and follow. You can also search by zip code, gender, and age if you want to see users in your specific area or demographic. If you would not like your blog to be show in the Ticker or you only would like your friends to see your Ticker entries then you may change your privacy settings by clicking here.
Finally I have reset all layouts to the base colors. If you would like to change update your Layout using the new system please click here.
Remember this is a Beta and some things may not work correctly or seem somewhat odd. Hopefully in a few weeks I can have Blogs4me.com 2.0 working smoothly.

p.s. Safari Users please use Firefox because this site is still very buggy in Safari.
All better from work with the comments...just the home computer is typing them backwards. Firefox maybe?
2.0 is awesome though. Very cool!
Major -
1.) My blog seems to have some spaces sprinkled here and there (e.g., "hello w hat is your n ame").
2.) I cannot edit a blog. I select edit in the Posts utility, but the text area is not editable (editing a comment seems to work though).
Minor -
1.) When using the photo upload, the text box (next to browse button) extends too far. Also, when attempting to write a new blog, the "title" text box does the same.
2.) When I toggle off the blog toolbar (using the button next to PREVIEW), the text area loses style.
3.) When you are asked to confirm the posting of a comment, the background is gray and the text is white (pretty much unreadable).
4.) When I go to PREVIEW a comment, looks like things aren't exactly centered. Also, if the comment is too long, the PREVIEW (of a comment, at least) looks weird. Like the outermost box doesn't extend but the comment does. Just write a long comment and preview it... you'll see what I mean.
