After much research I have decided to go with a smaller version of the Dunkin Donuts coffee brewer.  The A10 Bunn Coffee maker will be purchased by me in the near future.

It seems like the perfect choice for my own home based Dunkin Donuts store.  Chy tells me it will not truly be a Dunkin Donuts unless I am served by a miserable woman with six kids.    That is ok because soon I will find out what type of milk and sugar they use to fully complete my store.

On the Admin page I added a column to the right side of the page labeled "B4M Oldies".  The results in this list are blog entries that were submitted to the site over a year ago. This list is generated randomly every time the page loads.  Eventually I may have it display the same 8 oldies for 24 hours to give everyone the same list for one day.

It has been a long time since I updated my blog so I figured I would update it.  After a crazy 2 months my life is finally starting to calm down and become somewhat normal again.  Seattle has been treating me very well and I am glad I made the move out here.  Besides my family, friends and dunkin donuts coffee I can’t say I miss too much else from the east coast.

I am now a month into my new job at RealNetworks and I am currently working on film.com.  It is an interesting project except I tend to stare at celebrities all day.  If I see another photo of Jennifer Aniston I may scream. 

Triple Grande Americana with room….this is my coffee of choice out here in Seattle.  After 3 weeks of experimenting I think it is the winner.  It is no dunkin but I am working on making my own dunkin every day.  You can actually buy the same coffee brewing machines they use at the dunkin stores.  This is my plan for the future.

I am finally going to be able to start working on Blogs4me again now that I have internet in my new apartment.  The last 3 months has been big for this site in regard to the search engines.  Most of you probably have not noticed but blogs4me.com blog entries have been generating 4000+ unique visitors a month through yahoo and google. These visitors have been landing directly on your blog entries.   With all these new readers I am thinking about adding anonymous commenting to the site.  This means any visitor to the site will be able to comment on a blog entry even if they do not have an account.  Of course you will have complete control of whether or not you want to allow this in your blog.

I will also be adding a new feature to Blogs4me where it will randomly display old blog entries that are older then a year.  This will hopefully start up conversation and commenting on those old blog entries that have been lost and buried in the past.

Anyways I miss all of you back on the east coast!!

I changed the live ticker on the admin page today to a new setup.  It pretty much looks exactly the same but it will update itself more smoothly because of a new technology I'm learning called AJAX.

If you experience any problems let me know because I threw the code together pretty quickly.

I made some changes to the site today in order to clean up the code and remove the features that didn't seem necessary anymore.

Things Removed:

2. Subscriptions
3. Invite Feature
4. Your Profile

I may start working on the site again in an effort to streamline the code behind the scenes.  Please be patient with my while I complete this.

I changed the blog editor on Blogs4me.com this morning.  It is a pretty nice knock off of Microsoft Word so if you can use word you can use the new editor.   Below is a list of some of the new features this editor supports.

1. Image Upload - You can now upload an image directly to the server for your new blogs. There is no need to use photobucket unless you truly love it.
2. Custom Templates - There are some custom templates available that allow you to give your blog a professional look and feel without needing to know too much HTML.
3. Preview Button - Just like the feature in Microsoft Word there is a preview button, which allows you to view you new blog entry in a new window at any time during the writing process.
4. Full Screen Mode - There is an option to stretch the editor out and fill the entire screen giving you more surface area to create your new blog entries.

There is also a spell check feature available that I have turned off at the moment.  If I find the time then I will try and finish the installation of it in the future.

Hopefully this new editor will fix some of the bugs that were associated with the last editor in creating tickerless blogs and lost blogs.  Everyone cross your fingers for me.

I got a crazy idea for Blogs4me while I was out in Seattle drinking a Corona with Chy.  I am wondering how many of you would use this new feature if I added it or something like it. 

Say you take a photo with your cell phone while you are at a concert or something.  You decide at that moment you would love to post it in your blog but there is no computer near you.  What if you could email that photo from your phone to a special blogs4me email address that would then automatically post the photo to your blog as a new blog entry. 

This is just a crazy idea I think I could make work without too much trouble.  Let me know what you all think.

Humidity is my worst enemy.  Today I have been unable to stop sneezing ferociously since the moment I woke up.  I must admit I have HAD IT with these random summer allergy attacks in my life.  Right now my eyes are watering and the inside of my nose is itching like I was snorting poison ivy all day yesterday. WTF!  I sneeze in insane machine gun like repetition about every 5-10 minutes.  I want to know if anyone’s nose has ever been so itchy to the point where numbing it blue with an ice cube is the only option they have to find relief.  (I JUST SNEEZED 4 TIMES)  I think I am going to name my remedy smurf nose.  Maybe I will start smurfnose.com and put a photo of myself with a cub jammed halfway up my nose.  I will make millions….I see it now. (I JUST SNEEZED 3 TIMES…I think I pulled a groin letting those 3 go.   They were intense.)

I have to admit I love my Sirius radio.  As you can imagine I spend hours upon hours sitting on a computer staring at text.   I am so glad that I have a way to relax in the evening without pushing my eyes any farther then I already do.  I love the Howard Stern show…Right now I am listening to the reply of it from this morning with my huge ass wireless headphones.  So nice….Artie is cracking me he hell up. 

I actually enjoy my Sirius radio more then TV I think.  There are almost no commercials and it is completely uncensored.  To me it is well worth the 13$ monthly charge.

Sirius is a must have for me now.  Listening to regular radio is like trying to watch television through an antenna.

The new version of Blogs4me is slowly beginning to take shape as many of you have probably noticed.  The new program will begin spreading all the Blogs4me content all over the inernet like a disease.  In only a week I have noticed a great increase in random traffic.  This is pretty exciting for me and the site.

If anyone wants to drive some traffic to their blog feel free to submit their blog URL to http://www.globeofblogs.com/.  This site is a search engine for blogs.  There are may site just like this all over the internet that will drive traffic toward your blogs.

Another interesting way to spread your blog around is to submit your blog url to http://kping.com/pings/ping.php every time you write a new blog entry.  This will tell all of the major blog search engines that you have recently updated your blog and they should come and index the new content.

Blogs4me.com is back up on the new server.   I want to get some traffic flowing through the new design before I finish it off. 

There will be bugs all over the place but over time I will get them all fixed up.  Blogs4me will probably be somewhat unstable the rest of this week.

IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON SUBMITING A BLOG ENTRY I HIGHLY RECOMMEND SAVING IT TO YOUR PC BEFORE SUBMITTING IT.

The Blogs4me site will probably be down this weekend. (6/10-611)   I will making the move to the new server.  If everything goes ok the site should be up again on Monday morning. (6/12)  The site will probably be somewhat finicky over the next 2 weeks while I work out some of the server bugs.  Your patience is appreciated.

There is actually a new version of Blogs4me coming as well.  I have been designing a new version the last few weeks over on the new server.  The new version will not go live for a few more weeks or maybe even longer after the server move. 

The new version will be very cool though with fixes to many of the bugs you have probably noticed.  Your blog will also be getting a new cleaner more professional look.  Also every single blog and comment you write on the site will end up listed in all the major search engines.  For example if you write a blog about “green apples” then it will show in a search for “green apples” on Google.

I am thinking my last Blog entry was interpreted very different then I had planned.  I do not plan on shutting Blogs4me down on a permanent basis.  At the time I wrote my last Blog entry I thought I only had a few days of my current server account left.  I figured there was no way I would be able to get the server move completed before my account ran out.  If that were the case I would have needed to shut the site down while I completed the server move.  After talking to my server provider yesterday I found out I actually have until June 11th to get the move done.   Blogs4me might still be temporarily shut down at some point while I complete the move but hopefully it will be for a much smaller period of time then I initially expected.

I am going to be changing the blog layout again and removing alot of the flash from the site.   It is starting to get on my nerves.  I am also going to be changing servers because I cannot afford to keep this site up anymore making 15 cents a day with it.  So expect some downtime in the near future. 

The web address of all your Blogs4me blogs has been changed.  You can now visit your blog by simply entering http://YOURUSERNAME.blogs4me.com.   For example...to go straight to my blog you can enter the web address http://timbo.blogs4me.com.

The old web addresses will also still work.  http://www.blogs4me.com/YOURUSERNAME

I want to know if anyone would like to have an actual domain name such as www.myblog.com point to their blog?

I changed the overall look of all your Blogs4me blogs today.  I am hoping this new look will make it easier to navigate around someone's blog.  This is just the beginning of the changes to come.   There are many more changes in store….I only wanted to get something new out before I continue tweaking.  If you find any bugs or if you miss a feature about the old version please let me know.

Over the last few weeks I have been rewriting the entire Blogs4me program in an effort to speed up the site and make it more dynamic.  I completed this mind numbing task last week after many many cups of Dunkin Donuts coffee.  I can now begin to make this site far better then anything yet on the internet. 

The current friends system you may have seen added to Blogs4me last week is just the beginning of many new changes on the way.  This system will be the new backbone to the site so start making friends!!! 

The look and feel of your Blogs4me blog will also be getting a new look.  Every blog on the site will have its own friends based live ticker.  This ticker will show only the new comments and blogs made by the friends of the user blog you are on.  The link below will take you to a very beta image of the new look for all Blogs4me blogs.    I stress VERY BETA.

I will also be adding a bulletin board to all your blogs.  This board will be for putting a random image or comment on someone’s blog without actually commenting on a blog entry.  For example if it is someone’s birthday you could post a happy birthday image on a user’s bulletin board.  These posts will of course show in the live tickers all over the site.

I feel so good right now....My window is open....The warm Sun is blasting in on my back.  SO GOOD!!!!!!

Days like today are the reason why I love Connecticut.  After months and months of cold weather we have a beautiful warm springish day.  Everyone you run into is in an amazingly great mood.  It seems like everyone just over dosed on Zoloft.

If the weather was like this all the time I don't think we would all truly appreciate days like today.  All I want to do is stand outside with my eyes closed and enjoy it.
