Developer of Blogs4me.com

The purpose of this blog is to keep the members of Blogs4me.com up to date with all the changes and new features I am developing for the web site.

New Blog Colors

If you click on the "Change Your Color Scheme" link you will now be able to change all your blog colors. There is no longer only a set group of color schemes to choose from but instead a tool to change all of your colors. Enjoy. -Timbo

Bug testing.

I made some drastic changes to the layout of the site. I am still trying to get the online box to match with the rest of the site. I will get it working in a few days. The Users online box is the start of the instant messaging program that will be showing up eventually. It is pretty slick. I am SURE there are massive bugs all over the place. If you happen to run into any just send them to [a href="mailto:info@blogs4me.com"]info@blogs4me.com[/a] Thanks!! -Timbo

Here we go!

All the fun toys I have been working on for last 3 weeks should start to show their ugly faces on the site. Just ignore the utter lack of design sense while I enable them. If you haven’t noticed the users online box is now located on the left hand side of the screen. It is 100% live with no page refresh necessary. When you or someone else logs onto the site it will update live. It is very buggy so don’t be surprised if you notice its not working.

New look coming.

I got a REALLY good idea for this site tonight but it is going to take some crazy tweaking to make it work. This time the site really will start looking alittle different. Thanks

Visual Changes

I will be implementing a few Visual Changes to the Blogs 4 me site in the next few days. Things may get a little funky while I make these changes so please be patient with me. It will all be worth it when I am done.

FOOTBALL

I am so happy football has started. I cannot wait to sit in my blue chair for 12 straight hours of football on Sunday afternoon. The last football game I watched was last season’s Superbowl…Laid up in a chair with 7 broken ribs and a broken hip just trying to ignore the pain. The Budweiser’s are cold...Sergeant Pepperonis is on speed dial and BIG BLUE is on at 4:15!!!. Say hello to heaven. P.S. We are not getting pepperoni, pepperoni again Nick!

Comment Editing

You can now delete or edit a comment within 15 minutes of making it when commenting on another users Blog. You can delete and edit all of your own comments made on your own blog for as long as you like. I think that makes sense.

Private Messages

I added private messaging to the blogs 4 me site tonight. It is very basic at the moment but it will be upgraded as time goes on. I am burnt. goodnight!

Instant Messenger Program

A flash based instant messenger program may be in the works for blogs4me.com. With a show of hands who would be interested in using a feature like this on the site before I dedicate the next week to it?

Time Zone's

In the "Change your details" section of your blog you can now change your time zone to the corresponding time zone you are in. When logged into your account all dates on blogs4me will appear relevant to where you are. enjoy.

Language Filter Switch

On the blog admin -> Change Blog settings page you can turn the language filter on and off. When logged in this lets you to view the blogs4me site with all the profanity you enjoy.

Potty Mouth Filter

I added a filter to the Blogs4me site to filter out all the swearing in the blog entries. I personally have no problem with the swearing. The problem is corporate networks tend to ban or block sites that don’t pass through their internet filters. Eventually I will add a switch in your blog admin to turn the filter on and off when you are logged in and using the site. Unfortunately for all new users entering the site the filter will be on as a default unless they signup and shut it off in their settings.

Computer Glitch.

About 20 minutes ago I go to the ATM and have the machine take my card for no reason. The ATM tells me to go into the bank to get my card. Once in the bank the teller tells me the card has been reported stolen by me and they cannot give it back to me. I think at that moment I said “what the fuck” about 6 straight times. I ask the teller if she can call the corporate office to fix this problem. After the teller waited on hold with the corporate fools for 30 minutes she comes back to the counter and tells me it was a computer glitch and a new card is in the mail....WONDERFUL!!!!!!! Nice Webster Bank...way to loose a customer!!!

Colors Added

You can now change the colors of your blog...There is a limited amount of schemes right now to choose from but I will be adding MANY MANY more over time.

Fear and Loathing in Cape Cod.

I recently bought the DVD Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. It is probably my all time favorite movie. For those of you who have never seen the movie it is about 2 guys who spend a weekend in Las Vegas and go on the craziest bender. They pretty much do every drug in existence while ripping off hotel after hotel. The movie is based on the book written by Hunter S. Thompson. The book I think is supposed to be fiction but, after seeing pictures of Thompson and then watching the movie it seems that the main character is actually him. I believe the movie is about a weekend he actually had in his life. While watching the movie I couldn’t believe anyone could actually go on a bender quite like they do in real life. Then I though about a night I had with 2 of my friends back in the summer of 2002. The summer I like the call the “Vicodin summer of 2002”. It was the end of June and all my friends were graduating from college and having graduation parties all over the Northeast. It was my friend Nagle’s turn and he was having a party at his house up in Boston with almost all of my closest college friends attending. I was picked up by my friends Sean and Gremlin in Hartford and we headed up to bean town in the mid afternoon. Upon arrival the drinking and substance abuse started. I will not get into details but it got ugly quickly. After hours and hours of this we then headed to a hotel in Boston where rooms had been rented so we could spend the night. I am not really sure who had the idea but at about 3:30 am Sean and I decided we might as well drive back to Hartford because we had no interest in sleeping on a hotel floor. I would like to thank that last late night Vicodin for this great decision. Sean and I grab Gremlin and we jump into Sean’s Mercedes to start our journey back to Hartford. Somehow I was talked into driving and we hit the road. After about 45 minutes on the road Sean and I realize we are going completely the wrong way. We are heading no-where near Hartford but instead getting closer to Cape Cod. We stop at a gas station to get a map….Gremlin completely out of his mind starts ripping open bags of chips, slim jims and candy. I don’t think he had any idea we were actually in a gas station. It was like his kitchen and he was going to eat whatever he wanted out of the fridge. Needless to say I think I dropped about $50 in there on all the crap he ate because of course he had no money. After analyzing the map we decide we might as well just go to Cape Cod and get a room because it’s much closer than Hartford. After about another 20 minutes of driving we hit Cape Cod and start looking for a hotel that’s open and has a vacancy. The fact that it is about 5:00am and the sun is starting to come up wasn’t helping us much. I can remember Sean and I having a conversation about sleeping in the car in a 7-11 parking lot because we were having no luck finding a hotel. At this point Gremlin is assed out in the back seat stinking up the car with his slim jim eating breath. FINALLY!! A hotel with a light on in the main office and a vacancy sign in the window. We pull into the parking lot and Sean goes in to get a room. Once in the office he can’t find anyone working there but he sees one key left on the wall so he takes it. This was the kind of hotel where all the rooms have a door to the outside. I decide to pull up about 50 feet away from the door so they don’t know which car is ours. One thing that was freaking us out about the room was the fact that maybe this was an extra key to the room and there were actually people sleeping in the room. I remember telling Sean I’ll leave the car on and you go check it out. We decide to wake up belligerent Gremlin to check it out first….What a great idea. After he storms into the room and turns the light on we realize the room is empty and we go to bed. 5 hours later I wake up to the maid knocking on the door…All freaked out I’m like doods, “It’s time to get the fuck outta here!” So after Sean takes a shower we get in the car and bomb out of the parking lot, key in hand. We begin heading for the Connecticut border as fast as we can. Well after we stopped at the beach, Wendys and Kmart to get some Advil for our aching bodies. When I think about that night much of it is a blur and I am amazed I wasn’t sitting in a Cape Cod jail that night. But if you ever need a place to stay in Cape Cod I think Sean still has the key. $20 a night.

Colors

I am currently working on giving the user the ability to change the colors of their blog.

Guido is back!!

After a long hiatus my brother Nick has released the next cartoon episode of Strategy Guide. This episode has been in development for a very long time and it is really nice to see it back out in the Internet community. If you have never seen his flash cartoon you can find it at [a href="http://www.sgcartoon.com"]http://www.sgcartoon.com[/a]. It is amazing. Congrats Brotha!!!

Another New Feature.

The main [a href="http://www.blogs4me.com"]http://www.blogs4me.com[/a] link now displays a random users blog every time you refresh the front page. It will only load users who have made an entry in their blog. So unless you write something you will not appear on the front page.

GO BIG BLUE!!!!!

I don’t know about you but I cannot wait for the football season. It is painfully obvious that we need football when there are bass fishing tournaments regularly on [a href="http://www.espn.com"]ESPN[/a]. I am a fan of baseball but, it just doesn’t quench my desire for some serious sports action. I have a hard time screaming at the TV in a fit of rage or jubilation over baseball. I am a huge [a href="http://www.giants.com"]New York Giants[/a] fan and my emotional state is pretty well tied with how well the Giants season is going. As you can imagine I have been in a depressed funk now for about 2 years. This is our year though….our saviour the lord Eli Manning is going to take us to the promise land. At least that’s what I’m hoping. GO BIG BLUE!!!!!

Baked with Love By Grandma Josie

My Grandma makes these cookies that are the best cookies on earth. I really can't explain how good they are. They must experienced first hand to understand their amazingness. I have eaten about 43 of them today and I will probably eat another 40 or so before the day is done. My Dad says they are good because they are like a little cake that you can eat as a cookie. All I know is I can't handle them.
